My Texas House
Scalable Retail Design System
Creative Direction · Brand System · PDP Strategy · Lifestyle Art Direction
I led the development of a comprehensive creative system for My Texas House furniture sold at Walmart, translating the brand’s established styling guidelines into a scalable, retail-ready execution. Working on behalf of the furniture manufacturer, I built the infrastructure that allowed the brand to show up consistently across living room and dining categories, both online and in-store.
Overview
My Texas House is a nationally recognized home brand with a distinct aesthetic. The furniture manufacturer was responsible for bringing that brand vision to life across a growing assortment of products sold through Walmart. I oversaw creative execution across two internal subdivisions, ensuring all assets aligned with brand styling while meeting Walmart’s retail standards.

The Challenge
While My Texas House provided established brand styling guidelines, the challenge was translating those principles into a cohesive, repeatable system for furniture sold at scale. With multiple product categories, fast launch timelines, and two subdivisions producing assets, the manufacturer needed a clear creative framework that ensured consistency without slowing production.
The objective was to build a system that:
-
interpreted brand styling accurately across furniture categories
-
unified photography, CGI, and PDP layouts under one visual language
-
scaled efficiently as SKU volume increased
-
supported smooth approvals with Walmart category teams
This was less about redefining the brand and more about building the creative infrastructure to support it.

PROCESS
Establishing the Brand Look & Feel
I defined the visual language for the brand by aligning color, materials, lighting, and styling across categories. This established a foundation for all photography, CGI, and digital layouts.

Building the System
I created a modular system designed to work across furniture categories and price points. Templates allowed teams to move quickly while maintaining a consistent structure, typography, and visual hierarchy.
Production & Execution
I led lifestyle shoots from concept to completion, including scene planning, prop sourcing, and approvals. CGI room scenes and in-store visuals were guided to match the same aesthetic standards.
